When I worked with Chris to record my entry for the American Idol songwriting contest, he impressed me with his professionalism. I had clear and definite ideas about what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it, so I needed to know that I would be working with someone who would take my business seriously. Since such professionalism has not always been easy to find during the early stages of my songwriting career, I found my experience with Chris to be refreshing. We discussed services and rates up front and signed a work-for-hire contract before we started recording. With my mind at ease about business matters, I was able to concentrate more completely on getting the best recording possible. Chris waited patiently while I went through take after take at the piano until I got the one I wanted. Then he coached me through unfamiliar territory in the vocal booth, since I had not been able to find a singer on short notice and had to do it myself. Afterwards, he cleaned up my vocals in the recording, a service I found to be invaluable, since my natural singing voice leaves quite a bit to be desired. I left satisfied with the service, and I will absolutely use Chris again for future recordings.
